As a private teacher I strive to create in my students a thorough perception and self-confidence when answering test questions and being able to deal with unknown problems. My viewpoint is actually based on the idea that learning takes place in an atmosphere of mutual trust wherein the student is motivated to think and find new connections for themselves. My practical experience has been that one-to-one personal tuition has a distinct advantage to learners thanks to the ability to resolve the children' own boundaries to study in a way that sets the bases for a thorough and long-term perception of the theme.
Analytic thinking
My approach varies depending on the student's needs and learning style. However, the basis of my teaching ideology is motivating learners to think on their own, using existing models whenever possible. |I feel that it is very important to provide scholars with a working skills and to give them problem-solving skill-sets for building upon this knowledge. Tutoring a person to think analytically is at the core of things that a student needs to intercept off any subject class.
The role of mentoring
Mentoring students is among the most durable improvements a coach can make, and it is a technique, that I find interesting and rewarding. From my experience, I found out the importance of involving students with the help of examples and of delivering content at a degree that implies perception though not always knowledge, mixing the unknown with the known as a combination which delivers the learner the sensation of possibility rather than that one of impossibility that formal and impressive techniques can enforce.
Using a lot of practising
I begin with questions the learners are familiar with and proceed regularly towards more complex fields as their self-confidence is being developed. I use examples and questions to test grasping all the time. I will not lecture to students or request them to memorise information. Nor do I perform the learners' homework for them!
I constantly involve exam-style or recent queries to analyse, work at and perfect the student's perception and technique. I also give a lot of emphasis to some of the not so vital but obvious skill sets like logical thought, essay technique and structure, and the effective use of graphs and numbers.
